I saw on the news recently that the animal charity, PDSA, have stated that nowadays, 1 in 3 dogs are overweight or obese due to owners overfeeding them. One dog that was mentioned is so overweight that he is now unable to walk.

As I am sure you are all aware, there has been another dog attack in the news which has resulted in the awful tragedy of a toddler losing her life.

Taking your dog for a walk in the park could now result in a £75 on the spot fine - or more if taken to court!
Nottinghamshire councils have now passed a dog ban on 72 of their parks after dog owners have failed to clear up mess left by their pets.
Animal Welfare Officers and Park Rangers will be enforcing the ban along with PCSO’s but a statement issued from a member of the Kennel Club has argued that the ban is ‘well overstepping things.’
