If you are thinking about getting a dog – or even getting another dog – why not consider a rescue?
Some rescue centres are absolutely full to bursting with healthy dogs looking for new homes – most due to no fault of their own.

Puppyhood is a challenging time for your new family friend.
Having been snatched away from mother at 8 weeks old (and DON’T take a pup before 8 weeks for the sake of the pups development!!!) the pup is suddenly thrust into a frightening world of new, strange sounds with weird smells and upright creatures that fuss and cuddle it at every opportunity.
However, there are some simple things you can do to help make your pup’s transition into the household a little easier.

The Cowpie Show in Betchworth was amazing this weekend. Lots to see and do and absolutely buzzing with people and dogs!
There was terrier racing, a bloodhound demonstration and my personal favourite – Gus Dermody and his sheepdogs. They were wonderful. It’s amazing that these dogs each have their own individual commands/whistles and don’t respond to the other dogs’ cues. And much respect to Mr. Dermody with all his whistles – I know I’d get confused and whistle the wrong thing!!!
