No Dogs In Parks!

13 April 2010 One Comment

Taking your dog for a walk in the park could now result in a £75 on the spot fine – or more if taken to court!

Nottinghamshire councils have now passed a dog ban on 72 of their parks after dog owners have failed to clear up mess left by their pets.

Animal Welfare Officers and Park Rangers will be enforcing the ban along with PCSO’s but a statement issued from a member of the Kennel Club has argued that the ban is ‘well overstepping things.’

It could also force more people to use their cars to drive to places where they can walk their pets – going against climate change plans to encourage less car use.
