Pup Aid 2010!

26 May 2010 2 Comments

Puppy farms are horrendous places – truly cruel and disgusting – and yet the dog loving public seem to be unaware of the tortures that puppy farmed dogs face.

For the first time ever, dog lovers from around the globe including celebrities, musicians and sports stars will come together for a boutique music festival and dog show. This will take place on 19th September 2010 at Stanmer House, Brighton.

Celebrity vet Marc Abraham is working in conjunction with thepet.net team to educate dog owners about the truth behind puppy farming.

He explains ‘A well-bred happy healthy pup is well-worth waiting for. Sadly many people are impatient, don’t do their research or try to cut corners. This demand then fuels this evil industry as these pups are usually cheaper to purchase but because they’ve been bred in such poor conditions, often don’t survive, or live their shortened lives in pain and discomfort with horrific deformities, health probs (like heart disease, arthritis) and/or behavioural issues that often cost broken-hearted owners thousands of pounds to correct. We must end the mass-production of diseased and poorly pups.’(from ThePet.net)

From these images you can see why we need these mills to be put out of business forever!

Hopefully by increasing public awareness and knowledge, we can all work together to put an end to puppy farms!

So, support Pup Aid 2010! There will be a huge amount to see and do such as a dog show (judged by celebs!), assistance dog displays and music from local bands.

A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to Shoreham Dogs Trust Rescue Centre.

This is an incredibly important event so don’t miss out! For more information please have a look at Pup Aid 2010
