Summer Fun

7 July 2009 No Comment

Now that summer is finally here – despite the recent rain we’ve been having – the time has come to relax, chill and go on fun doggy walks!

There are beautiful places all over the UK that are great for walking dogs – a favourite of mine being Chanctonbury Ring, near Washington.

Not only is it good exercise for the dogs, it’s also good exercise for you as you can burn off those extra pounds gained over Christmas!

I visit places all over the South Downs and even take the dogs to the beach – there’s a lovely beach in Southampton that, although stoney, is great fun with the dogs!

Please click HERE to have a nose at 21 favourite British dog walks as voted by the public.

The website also has information on the Countryside Code and chubby dogs!

Please remember, on hot days you need to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs (and you!) and if they seem to be suffering in the heat, don’t try to continue the walk.

Above all, have fun!
