The Angel that Fell…off the back of a lorry!

21 August 2009 No Comment

A boxer dog named Angel has been found in a B & Q Car Park in Somerset.

Animal Welfare officials were notified and have discovered that she was microchipped and that her home address is listed in Spain.

It is thought that she entered the UK illegally on the back of a lorry and officials are now trying to contact her owner.

They have posted a video on Youtube in an attempt to have Angel’s story publicised internationally in the hopes that her owner will come forward.

In the meantime, Angel has been taken in by the South Western Boxer Club who will look after her during her 6 month quarantine.

If her owner does not come forward, they will seek to rehome her after this time.

A senior animal health and welfare inspector from West Hatch RSPCA has stated:

“We made some inquiries with the local police and Defra but have been unable to trace anybody. The RSPCA made further inquiries and found her microchip and that she was first registered to an address in Malaga.”
