The World’s Biggest Puppy Party Goes Down A Storm!
The World’s Biggest Puppy Party was hosted at Brighton Racecourse last Saturday and had a fantastic turnout!
There were many stalls, selling doggy goods, as well as rescues and companies like Canine Partners who were available to talk to people about what their assistance dogs do.
There were also some beautiful Golden Retrievers who work as PAT (Pets As Therapy) dogs – and they all seemed to be having a whale of a time!
There was even a pet photographer – or petographer as he called himself – who was taking professional shots for free.
And of course, there were lots of dog shows going on, including prettiest bitch and handsomest dog, and they were judged by some very special guests – including Bruce Forstyth’s daughter, Debbie, and Simon Cowell’s mum, Julie! There was also a police dog demonstration and a demonstration from Canine Partners with their assistance dogs.
Celebrity vet, Marc Abraham, was seen walking around, helping to ensure that everything ran smoothly and thepet.net team were all on hand too!
So what was this all in aid of?
The World’s Biggest Puppy Party was launched to help raise awareness against puppy farming and educate people looking for a dog or puppy about puppy mills and the horrors experienced by the dogs living in these places.
It was a brilliant event and everyone had a great time – especially our two collies who couldn’t believe all the fuss and attention they were getting!
I sincerely hope that The World’s Biggest Puppy Party returns next year!
